I’m running for school board to bring a parent’s perspective, technical experience, and a focus on transparent, responsible district governance.
Why I’m Running
A school district should work for the families it serves.
I became involved in local school issues as a parent because I wanted to understand how decisions were being made and how district resources were being used. That involvement grew into community advocacy, classroom volunteering, and a closer look at the issues facing our schools.
Our district has significant financial and operational challenges. Parents also have questions about technology, instructional priorities, student opportunities, and how major spending decisions are evaluated.
I’m running to bring a practical, questioning approach to the board: understand the numbers, listen to the community, evaluate outcomes, and keep the focus on students.

Transparency & Accountability
Make district decisions, spending, and priorities easier for parents and taxpayers to understand, with meaningful opportunities for community input.

Thoughtful Technology
Use educational technology when it supports learning, while evaluating screen time, software, and EdTech spending based on outcomes rather than novelty.

PE, Health & Nutrition
Support opportunities for physical activity and healthy habits, including strong PE and attention to the quality of school meals.

Arts & Hands-On Learning
Keep a well-rounded education in view by supporting art, music, and practical, hands-on opportunities for students.

Challenge Every Student
Students have different needs and abilities. Academic support should include appropriate challenge, enrichment, and pathways for students ready to go further.

About Quintin
Parent. Tech industry veteran. Community volunteer.
My background is in electrical engineering, information security, and systems administration, including work supporting data-center environments.
For the past several years, my focus has been my family and my children’s education. I’ve been a room parent and regular volunteer in and out of the classroom and stayed involved with our local schools.
I bring a skeptical and systems-oriented mindset to public issues: understand how something works, identify what isn’t working, and improve it.
